David Calvin Crisp

David Calvin Crisp, 70, of Asheville, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at the Laurels of Summit Ridge. A native of Haywood Co., he was a son of the late Archie and Irene Crisp. Mr. Crisp was a 1968 graduate of Mars Hill College, with a degree in Business Administration. He retired from Ballard Appliance Co., and he served in the National Guard. Mr. Crisp is survived by his wife, Margaret Turpin Crisp; a brother, Charles Crisp and wife Mimi; mother-in-law Loretta Turpin; sister-in-law Brenda Wallace; special friend Roberta Pearcy; nieces, Susan (Pat), Katherine, Caroline, Tiffany (Jeff) and Tanya (Brian); great-nephews Daniel and Ryan; and many other family members and friends. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday at Green Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Stan Welch and the Rev. Dr. John Turpin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312, and/or to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, 31 Glendale Ave., Asheville, NC 28803.
