David E. Marvulli, 56, of 136 Green Acres Drive, Leicester, died Sunday, May 12, 2002, at the Hospice Solace Center. Mr. Marvulli was born in Buncombe County and was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Margaret Wade Marvulli and by a brother, John Marvulli. He was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam conflict and was employed as a supervisor with Lustar Dying and Finishing Mfg. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gibson Marvulli; two daughters, Michelle Faraj of Brooklyn, NY and Missy Marvulli of Spring Hills, FL; three sons, Michael Marvulli of Brooklyn and Scott and Danny Marvulli of Spring Hills; two step-daughters, Dawn Thomas of Candler and April Konopka of the home; one step-son, Daniel Konopka of Candler; one sister, Nora McKinney of Arden; one brother, Freddie Marvulli of Clyde; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Bennie Wade officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.

Dave the brother I will always admire you.You will always be my handsome and inteligent brother.I miss you so much I knew I would but I didnt know how soon it would be.I admit you are very special to me and I would love to have you back so I could hug and kiss you I always enjoyed yor company. I remember talking to you about how much Jesus loves you even though you thought he wouldnt fogive you for your past sins.I knew you realized that day that Jesus was your savior and you knew in your heart that you didnt have long to stay.Iam so happy you made it to heaven.You visit me in my dreams with happiness on your face.My heart misses you always.See you in glory land with our most sacred love Jesus.As for all your children I speak in thier behafe as Iwish that they would have been done justly before and after your funeral they didnt deserve not seeing there dad I tried to do what I could to save them memories and heart ache.How evil people can be in there hearts with jealousy to rule there thoughts and hurt others to make it good for themselves.God will judge not me.I know Dave you know the truth my prayers are for your children.   5. I served with David when we were in the recruiting command and Brooklyn I just found out today that he passed away 22 years ago. He was a great guy always had a sense of humor and some other crazy things he did, but that was part of all of us being in recruiting, I’m sorry for your loss. May God welcome him into heaven. I always know he had a good heart and I’m sorry to see that he left us so early. God bless.
