David H. Sellers, 48, of 5 Woodcrest Place,
Asheville, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998.

A native of Asheville, he was the son of Mary
Preston Sellers and the late Paul G. Sellers, who
died in 1992.  He was also preceded in death by
a brother, Ted K. Sellers in 1982.

David graduated in 1969 from Lee Edwards
High School where he was active with the Civitan
Club.  He was vice-president of SM Company
where he had been employed for 21 years and
worked as the plant manager.
  
He proudly served in the Army Reserves as a
Combat Medic until he retired after 21 years at
the rank of Staff Sergeant, receiving many
commendations during his service.

  He was a member of the Oak Forest
Presbyterian Church where he served as an
elder and was co-chairman of the property
committee.

David is survived by his wife, Michaelle C.
Sellers; a daughter, Kristin Sellers and son
Justin Sellers of the home; two brothers, Daniel
B. Sellers and his wife Sandra of Asheville,
Tommy G. Sellers and his wife, Joy, of Asheville;
nephews, Joshua Sellers, Preston Sellers,
Morgan Sellers, Tony Sellers and nieces,
Alexandria Sellers and Rebekah Sellers.

A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Sunday,
Oct. 4th, in the Oak Forest Presbyterian Church
conducted by the Rev. Dr. Barry Lambert.  A
private, family interment will be held.  

The family will receive friends at the residence,
Monday evening, beginning at 6 pm.

Memorials may be made to the Oak Forest
Presbyterian Church, the Little Chapel
Renovation Fund, 880 Sand Hill Road, Asheville,
NC 28806.

Groce Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
