Asheville Butterfly TrailDavid Satchell, 85, of Asheville, NC passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024. He was born in England to the late Harry Francis Satchell and Ruth Taylor Satchell.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janice Spencer Satchell; his children, Lance Satchell (Terri) of Asheville, NC and Jason Satchell of Swannanoa, NC; his grandchildren; Devon Satchell, Marina Satchell and Anna Satchell; and great-grandchildren; Landon Wright and Maxwell Satchell; and a sister, Linda Walker of Leicester, England.
He served in the British Army in the Sherwood Foresters Regiment and worked in the textile industry. He enjoyed change ringing at St. James Church and traveling the world! He loved his family and will be dearly missed by them.
Family would appreciate donations in his memory be made to Memory Care of Asheville, 100 Far Horizons Lane, Asheville, NC 28803.
