Jeanetta Diane Satterfield, 56, of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at the CarePartners Solace Center.

A native of Buncombe Co., Diane was a daughter of the late Buster T. Satterfield and Jean Smith Satterfield Penland.

Ms. Satterfield is survived by her sister, Donna Shook (Steve), and two nephews Hunter and Connor.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at Hominy Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Joe Yelton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.

  2. Oh I was so very sorry to hear of Diane’s passing, what a gentle, sweet , and kind person she was. We were in school together and I always thought she had a great heart. So sad for the family and friends she left behind. This world lost a good one. Prayers for the family and friends left behind.

    • I will miss her ready smile, boisterous laughter and beautiful singing voice. But most of all I will miss her kind and loving heart. Diane was my first cousin but she was also my life-long friend. My heart aches for Donna and her boys. May God give them strength and peaceful spirits until the family is joyfully reunited again.
