Doll Bailey Hyatt

Doll Bailey Hyatt of Candler died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at the Hospice Solace Center. A native of Yancey County she lived most of her life in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late William H. and Mary Thomas Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband R. Ray Hyatt, Sr., in March, 1993; her son, Robert R. Hyatt, Jr., in May, 2002; two brothers, Robert and John Bailey and by two sisters, Atlas Davis and Jane Banks. She is survived by two sisters, Tennie Robinson of Fletcher and Madge Cooper of West Asheville, and by her companion, Norma Sue Taylor. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday in the chapel of Pisgah View Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Roy Houston officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. Her family will receive friends at the cemetery chapel one hour prior to the service and request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
