Dorcas Mae Atkins

Dorcas Mae Atkins, 72, of Candler, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017. A native of Buncombe Co., Dorcas was a daughter of the late Redford and Starlie Carson Atkins. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Faye Robinson. Ms. Atkins is survived by her sister, Linda Moore; half-brother, Boyd Burleson; a niece, and many nephews, including Garth Atkins, and Everett, Bruce, and Gary Robinson; step-nieces, Debra Lovin and Diane Boone; and great-nieces and nephew, Crystal Tweed, Christina Atkins, and Layton Atkins. The memorial service for Ms. Atkins will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
