Dorothy C. Ray

Dorothy Cole Ray, of 4 Shady Lane, Skyland, died Saturday, July 17, 1999, in an Asheville hospital.
Mrs. Ray was born in Booneville, KY and was a daughter of the late Willie and Emma Bailey Cole. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Ray; a daughter and son-in-law Nellie and Wayne McCarthy of Skyland’ a brother, Snowden Cole of Asheville, and three grandchildren, Kim Reid, Amy Berglund, and Marc McCarthy, all of Asheville.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Monday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Cecil Robinson officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 3 - 4:30 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
