Dorothy Mehaffey Ford Lamb passed away Friday, September 9, 2016. She was born in Buncombe County to the late Frank and Maryetta Mehaffey on May 9, 1938. She was preceded in death by the father of her son, Bill Ford and sister, Margaret M. Owenby. She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Lamb; son Mark Alan Ford and his wife Kimberly; and grandsons Mark Landon Ford and his wife, Jessica, and Clay Alan Ford and his wife, Tasha; and great-grandchildren Willa Grace, Parker Jase and Paxton Riley Ford. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, 725 Asbury Road, Candler; The Rev. Dr. Michael Kurtz will officiate with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

    We are so sorry about Dot she was such a fine lady. Always prim and proper and with a smile on her face. She was always so good to us boys growing up and kept that up after we were grown. Heaven has another Angel, she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. We will keep you in our hearts and prayers.

  5. Dot was a very classy lady and a wonderful friend! We worked together at Adams Hendon Carson Crow & Saenger. I was heartbroken to hear of her passing but know she is in Heaven with her sister and our dear friend Carolyn Ray. My thought and prayers are with you Bob and the rest of the family of whom she was so proud.
