Dorothy Nesbitt Grant

Dorothy Dora Nesbitt Grant, 85, of Fairview, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Flesher's of Fairview. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Roy Wilson and Dora Jane Morgan Nesbitt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Grant, an infant son, two sisters and one brother. Dorothy worked on the electrical switch assembly line at C.P. Clare Company. She was a member of Nesbitt's Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sisters, Martha Marlowe of Mountain Home, Virginia Lytle and her husband, Gene, of Black Mountain and Beatrice Marlowe of Fairview; one brother, Guy Nesbitt and his wife, Virginia, of Candler and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service was held at Nesbitt's Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to CarePartners Hospice, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
