The loss of a loved one is very devastating. It is comforting to know that God understands your grief and promise to do something about it. God has promised at Isaiah 25:8 to ‘swallow up death forever,’ and He has assured us at Acts 24:15 that ‘there is going to be a resurrection.’ May these scriptures be of some comfort to you now and in the coming days. Please accept my condolences on the loss of your loved one, Douglas.

Doug and I attended Hillside Elementary School together. He was quiet and kind. He was also occasionally picked on. I wished I could say today that I defended him but i don’t think I did. I did go over to his house a few times. It was calm and warm. It smelled good and I remember his parents were very attentive.

I too went to Elementary school with Doug. He was a good and cherished friend of mine from my youth of whom I have fond memories. He will be missed!
