One of God’s greatest has gone home to rest in His presence of perfect love, joy and peace. Leaving behind for us a life that can always be remembered for the kindness and love that was always present. A life that often seemed humble but still reached to great a lenght to touch so many throughout the years upon this earth.
One would have to seek for a long time to try and find a person who ever knew Edith Propest, to find someone who could give a harsh report of the life she lived and shared upon this earth. But in my heart I do not beleive such a one could ever be found.
My memories of Henry and Edith Propest will always be of hearts that were filled with Love, and the desire to live a life which centered on our Lord Jesus, and then to allow that love to reach unto all of whom they were allowed to encounter.
And though those of us who are left behind feel a great loss, and a sadness in our heart to know that we are for a short time seperated from one who was filled with such great love; We can find comfort in knowing that heaven has just welcomed home another of God’s sweet angels. And though we may miss her for now, she will soon be there to greet us with our precious Lord and all of our other friends, family and loved ones who have gone before us to prepare a welcome for each of us on that day that our work and labor of this life is finally done.
May God be with each and every heart that has felt the loss of this sweet minister of God’s love and kindness. Our family offer you our love and prayers, and the hope of being encouraged in the promise of God’s word that we shall meet again.
Blessings in the name of our Lord Jesus. Tommy, Kristie, Thomas and Levi Propest
Henrietta, Our deepest sympathy to you and the family. She is the nicest person I have ever known, but I also realize that she wanted to be with Uncle Henry. It is a great loss for all that knew & love her, but she is at peace in a better place. Love Danny & Linda
Bill and Joyce and Family Members, We were distressed to read about your Mother this morning. Regardless of age, health, or any other circumstance in life we are never ready to give up our Mothers. The only possible comfort at this time is a real Faith in the Sovereignty of God and the manifested concern of caring friends. Please know we are thinking of you right now. May The Lord Our God Hold You Closely In His Arms — Zunita and Joe Clark

Edith Propest was a very sweet person. She was also a good friend and neighbor for many years. She will be greatly missed.
My deepest sympathies and condolesces go to the family of Mrs. Edith Redmon Propest.
It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. And when it happens, the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your loved one is up in heaven.
When death takes your child, your husband, your wife, your parent, your friend, it is truly what the Christian writer Paul called it, ‘the last enemy.’ There is hope. Death will not continue to rob mankind of their loved ones indefinetly.
When Jesus was on earth there was an occassion that deeply grieved him. He met a widow of Nain and saw her dead son. The Bible account tells us: ‘As [Jesus] got near the gate of the city [Nain], why, look! there was a dead man being carried out, the only-begotten son of his mother. Besides, she was a widow. A considerable crowd from the city was also with her. And when the Lord caught sight of her, he was moved with pity for her, and he said to her: ‘Stop weeping.’ With that he approached and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still, and he said: ‘Young man, I say to you, Get up!’ And the dead man sat up and started to speak, and he gave him to his mother. Now fear seized them all, and they began to glorify God, saying: ‘A great prophet has been raised up among us,’ and, ‘God has turned his attention to his people.” – Luke 7:12-16. Notice how Jesus was moved with pity, so that he resurrected the widow’s son! Imagine what that portends for the future!
This example was just a small foregleam of what Jesus will do in the very near future. Millions therefore can have the solid hope of seeing their loved ones alive again on earth but under very different circumstances. Yes, Jesus Christ promised that millions now dead will live again on this earth and have the prospect of remaining on it forever under peaceful, paradisaic conditions. May Mrs. Propest be among them.
May the God of comfort be with you.
A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her servant girls.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 ‘Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.’
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Proverbs 31 I am sure this applies to our beloved Edith. She will be missed by all who knew her.
