Edna Hattie Buchanan went to be with the Lord the morning of Sunday, May 4th, 2025. She passed away in Fletcher, North Carolina where she resided for her 86 years of life. Hattie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and great aunt.

Hattie was born on May 12th, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Roy Ingle and Alice McMahan Ingle. Hattie dedicated 40 years to TE Connectivity (formerly CP Clare) as an assembly worker where she met many of her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Coleman Buchanan, her brother, Roy (Junior) Ingle, her brother, Cecil Ingle, and her sister, Norma Kale.

She is survived by three children: son Larry Buchanan (Debra Buchanan), daughter Colleen Anderson, and son Randy Buchanan (Jenny Buchanan); grandchildren: Virginia Prince, and Jenna Buchanan (James Sherlin); great grandchildren: Cheyanne Prince, Isabella Palmer, and Colby Palmer; and a great-great grandchild, Cora Prince; and many nieces and nephews.

Hattie will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed and cherished spending time with her family. She loved spending time reading and going to yard sales. Hattie was also a strong believer in the Lord and attended Long Shoals Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Revs. Roger Rearden and Rick Phillips officiating. Friends will be received after the service. Inurnment will be private.
