Edna Adams Moore Savage, 66, of 99 Ridgeline Road,
Clyde, died Saturday, September 11, 1999, at her home.

Mrs. Savage was a native of Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late George Milton and Edna Dorcus Kahn Moore.  She was a 1952
graduate of Asheville High School and worked for 28 years for Southern Bell. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and the
Mineralogical Society.

She raised four daughters
on her own for a long time, keeping them alive and happy.  Her family will be lost without her because she was the best mother anyone could have
and she was loved very much.  She loved her grandchildren, and her friends and family will remember her as kind, compassionate, and intelligent.  She was a happy person who loved life;  she was a fighter, a survivor, a mother, a grandmother, and an all-around lovely woman.  She was a devout Christian who was baptized and who loved Jesus with all her heart.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Savage, Jr.;  four
daughters, Holly Elise Hayes of Weaverville, Vicki Hayes Edwards of Alexander, Elizabeth Hayes Bell of Dallas, TX, and Sherri Lynn Stensing
of Lincolnton;  a brother, George Milton Moore, Jr. of Volcano, CA;  and three grandchildren, Samantha Elizabeth Bell, age 26, Joseph
Christopher Stensing, Age 20, and Paul Michael Edwards, age 18.

No services are scheduled.

Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of arrangements.
