Edward C. Morgan

Edward Clarence Morgan, 82, of 403 Curtis Creek Road, Candler, died Tuesday, August 6, 2002, in an Asheville hospital. Mr. Morgan was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Russell E. and Katie Jones Morgan. He was a veteran of WW II and served in the Merchant Marines. He was a member of VFW Post 9939 and of White Rock Baptist Church. Surviving are three sisters, Maxine Tosi of Manistee, MI, Lillian Edmonds of Asheville and Mattie Davis of Candler. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday at White Rock Baptist Church with the Revs. Greg Metcalf and Roy Kilby officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Nephews and friends will be pallbearers. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
