Edward Eugene Lindsey, 81, of Candler, died Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the VA Medical Center. A native of Madison Co., he was a son of the late Garfield and Mary Graves Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in Korea. He is survived by his wife, Lela Medford Lindsey; a son, Allen Lee Lindsey; grandchildren Elisha Marie Lindsey and Caleb Allen Lindsey; sisters Louise Minton and Inez Kimbell; and brother Garfield Lindsey. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at White Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Oliver officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
