Edward Joseph Doll

Mr. Doll was born in Lincoln, NE, and was a son of the late Edward and Margaret Staton Doll. He was an Army veteran and a retired chemical engineer. Ed was an avid outdoorsman, experienced sailor, enthusiastic member of the Land of the Sky Chorus, and President of Eastmoor Homeowners’ Association.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Rita Garry; a son, Steven Doll and his wife Sandra of Hurricane, WV; two daughters, Susan Doll of Boston, MA and Cynthia Hill and her husband LaMar of Delmar, NY; a step-daughter, Amy Chasanov of Washington, DC; two brothers, David Doll and his wife Darlene of Grant, NE and James Doll and his wife Barbara of Adel, IA; and five grandchildren, Sara and Justin Doll, and Nicole, Adam and Erica Hill.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm Wednesday at the First Christian Church, 20 Oak Street, Asheville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
