Arden - Edward K. Clubb, 50, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2003, at his sister’s home in Arden after a battle with cancer. Mr. Clubb was born in Henderson County and has gone to join his father, the late C.J. Clubb of Black Mountain. He was a graduate of Charles D. Owen High School. He is survived by his mother, Faye Owenby Clubb of Fairview; his daughter, Joy Edda Clubb Lomax of Ware Shoals, SC; two stepdaughters, Sandy Hartley of Gilbert, SC and Laura Maroney of Batesburg, SC; three brothers, Michael D. Clubb of Candler, Ricky J. Clubb of Nebo, Terry L. Clubb of Weaverville; one sister, Pamela Clubb Ray of Arden and six grandchildren, Josey, Shane, Channon, Austin, Skylar and Nicholas, all of South Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Revs. Robert Haynie and Jesse Shipman. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain. His family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Monday at the funeral home on Long Shoals Road. Flowers will be accepted and appreciated or memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.

  3. I am very sorry to have seen in the paper about Ed passing away. I never knew him but I worked with his ex wife Linda in Irmo SC.My father passed away 2 years ago due to Lung cancer and it still hurts to this day but I saw how much he was suffering and I prayed that God would go on and take him because of the way he was suffering and the man that was in the bed was not my daddy so I understand what you will be going through and my heart and prays are with each on of you.
