Edwin Wayne Crowe, 69, of Candler, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at his residence. A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Wayne and Irene Rector Crowe. He was also preceded in death by his baby brother, Ralph Crowe. Mr. Crowe was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Diane Kuykendall Crowe; daughters, Andrea (Vince), Cynthia (Scott), and Darlene (Bryan); grandchildren, Courtney (Brian), Hannah (Jacob), Corey (Amanda), Brittney, Dakota, and Madison; and great-grandchildren, Ella Mae and Bryleigh. Funeral services for Mr. Crowe will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roy Rigdon officiating. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Western Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery, with military honors provided by the NC Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home.
