Elizabeth Knight

Elizabeth "Beth" Knight Fletcher – Elizabeth "Beth" Knight", 74, of Fletcher, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late William James and Gladys Waycaster McLaughlin. She is survived by two daughters, Melody Diane Henry and her husband, Robert, of Jonesbrough, TN and Linda Gail Moratto of Fletcher; two sons, Donald Lee Jones of Middlesex, NC and Jessie Dean Jones and his wife, Carol, of Fairview; two sisters, Geraldine Silvers of Burnsville and Pat Lockhart of Swannanoa; three brothers, Harold McLaughlin of Fairview, James McLaughlin of Easley, SC and Emery McLaughlin of Fairview; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a very special family friend, Wanda Smith. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian and the family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 17, 2011 at McLaughlin Cemetery in the Baker's Creek community of Yancey County.
