  3. Gordon, Frank, and other family members. I was distressed to read about Lib in this morning’s paper. I remember her from my days at Wachovia in Asheville before I transferred to Charlotte in 1962. She was a fixture in the Biltmore Office with Charlie Jarrett, Rose Underwood and others. With Frank working in my area of the bank, Jay Bird finishing high school with me, and growing up in West Asheville and knowing Jane and all the Johnson Family made Lib a special person. We are never ready to lose our loved ones and the only comfort comes from a real Faith in the Sovereignty of God and the manifested concern of caring friends. Please know we are thinking of you at this time.

  4. I worked with Lib at Wachovia in 1947-50 and thoroughly enjoyed that time with her. She was a very friendly and likable person and it was a priviledge to have known her. Please accept my condolences.

  5. Gordon, Jan & FamilyMy sincere sympathy. I worked with Lib most of her banking career – in fact she helped train me in 1947-48 when I began work there in the Main Office. She was a friend and we all loved her. My thoughts are with you and with Frank(Bud) during these days.Cecil Tallent

  6. We know you have stepped from pain into the welcoming arms of Jesus. We will miss you. Love, Larry and Karen

  7. Gorden,
I’ve known you and Lib since the Second World War and always considered you both very dear friends. Hilda and I are in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at our son’s home and will not be able to attend the funeral. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
