She was predeceased by her husband, P. Hutson Moody; and two brothers, Harry and Daniel O’Connor.

Born and raised in Greensboro, NC, Elizabeth graduated from Greensboro Senior High and attended a year of business school at UNC-G. She was proud of her marriage to her childhood sweetheart for over 50 years. Elizabeth was a talented artist from a very young age and continued to gain pleasure from her artwork. As a teenager she drew orchids for her father’s florist shop. Throughout her art life she painted many lovely ladies and found solace during the pandemic lockdown by drawing and painting hundreds of what she called her “Covid Girls”. Her family and friends enjoyed receiving her handmade greeting, birthday and Christmas cards for more than 40 years. Often her Christmas cards were accompanied by a poem she wrote to explain her art/card theme or shared a spiritual message.

Elizabeth was also a successful business woman. She and her husband started and operated a successful business for over twenty years. After selling their business, they moved to Myrtle Beach, SC and built a beautiful home and life. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling and saw many delightful places in Europe and throughout the US. Elizabeth embraced adventures, lived for short periods in New York City,NY, Paris, France, Palo Alto, CA, Naples, FL, and Atlanta, GA. Besides being beautiful herself, Elizabeth had a gift of interior decorating and everything she touched became more beautiful. Her beauty will live on in her art and in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved her.
