Elizabeth Orr Kinser

Elizabeth Orr Kinser, 88, formerly of 126 Pennsylvania Avenue, Asheville, died Saturday, December 10, 2005, at Aston Park Health Care Center. Mrs. Kinser was born December 25, 1916, in Niota, TN, and was a daughter of the late Ben and Jennie Orr. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Solomon “Jay” Kinser, who died in 2003, by a daughter, Frances Kinser Quinn, and by a grandson, Scott Edwin Quinn. Mrs. Kinser worked for the Asheville Sears for many years, primarily in the Catalogue Department. She attended Grace Baptist Church. Surviving are a great- granddaughter, Brooke Quinn of Sanford, FL, and several nieces and nephews, including Robert C. Kinser and his wife Cathryn of Asheville and Mary Ann Huffaker and her husband Shane of New Market, TN. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. L. Wayne Adkisson officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home thirty minutes prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Grace Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 718 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
