Elizabeth Phillips Collins

ELIZABETH “BETH” PHILLIPS COLLINS Elizabeth Phillips Collins, 91, of Asheville, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at Givens Health Care Center following a period of declining health. Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jackson Collins and her brothers Carl, James and Wayne Phillips. She is survived by two special daughters, Jo Gaddy of Asheville and Mary Blankenship and husband Frank of Morristown, TN along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Beth had been a resident of Givens Estates for 25 years and was a former member of Beaverdam Baptist Church as well as Skyland Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school for many years. A funeral service will be held 11:00a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2006 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue with the Revs. Joe Fulk and Steve Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery in Brevard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Givens Estate Supplemental Assistance Fund 2360 Sweeten Creek Rd. Asheville, NC 28803.
