Elsie King House Andrew, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at her daughter’s home in Asheville.
Born in Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Verley and Essie McElreath King, and she was married to Lawrence P. “Red” House and to Howard Andrew. She was also preceded in death by daughters, Darlene Elizabeth Payne and Valerie House Repass, sister, Betty Banks, and brothers, Floyd and Carl King.
Surviving are her daughter, Virginia Rice (Tommy); son, Lawrence P. House, Jr. (Hilda); six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, a sister, Agnes Israel and a special friend, Lafain Davis.
Funeral services will be at 2:00p.m. Saturday at the Christian Refuge Center (formerly Riverview United Methodist Church), with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Weldon Ramsey will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

We have loved having Elsie be a part of our family for the last 25 years. Nate, Sarah, Emily, John, and I will miss Elsie so very much! She will always be a part of our hearts. We pray for comfort to all whose hearts are aching from the loss of such a Loving and Beautiful Angel
Elsie was always so kind and gentle. Heaven has gained a true angel. Praying for her loved ones, knowing she will be greatly missed until we see her again.
