Emma Lucille Wood Brock, 75, of Wickins Drive, Mountain Home, died Monday, January 16, 2006 at her residence.
A native of Buncombe County, Mrs. Brock was a daughter of the late William and Dona Lance Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Brock; one sister, Mildred Wood Bailey and one brother, Charles William Wood. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Brock is survived by two sisters, Catherine McFalls of Mountain Home and Ruth Wood Barnwell of Arden as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with the Reverend Jimmy Justice officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home and at other time will be at the home of Catherine McFalls, 529 Wickins Drive, Mountain Home.
