Ervin James Hudgins, 64, of Asheville, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at the John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of the late Marcus Ervin and Hazel Clora Fisher Hudgins.
Mr. Hudgins is survived by sisters Mary Etta Meadows and husband Leonard of Alexander, Martha Ball of Candler, Brenda Moody and husband Tim of Robbinsville, and Sarah Worley and husband Sam of Travelers Rest, SC; brothers Randy Hudgins and wife Lynne of Asheville, Gary Hudgins and wife Bobbie of Alexander, and Lloyd Hudgins and wife Mary of Asheville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Georgetown Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lee Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
