Ethel Adeline Ward Worley, 97, of Leicester, died on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Aston Park Health Care Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Worley was a daughter of the late Dexter and Hattie West Ward. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Worley; and sisters, Edna Ward and Mary Frisbee.
She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Mrs. Worley is survived by her daughters, Nellie G. Rogers, Geneva Brown, Sandra Churchill, and Cathy Gerukos; sons, Charles, Cecil and Larry Worley; 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mrs. Worley will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ethel was my dad’s (John P. Ward)oldest sister and outlived all her siblings. What a great long life. My prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time.
