Ethel Nesbitt Noble

Mrs. Noble was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Ben and Hattie Garrison Nesbitt.  She was married to Chapel Churchill Noble who died in 1991, and was also preceded in death by a son, Chappell Nesbitt Noble.

She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and a retired teacher with the Deep Run Elementary School in Lenoir COunty and the Oakley Elementary School in Asheville.  She was a member of the N.R.T.A. and the N.C.A.E.

She was a loving wife and mother and is survived by her daughter, Nancy Noble Haney of Fairview;  five grandchildren, Ray Chapel Haney, Andrew Warren Haney, Elizabeth Haney Honeycutt, Chappell Nesbitt Noble, Jr., and Patrick Andrew Noble, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday in Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Lewis officiating.,  Burial will be in Cane Creek Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be family and close friends.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and request that memorials be made to the Fairview VFD or to Fairview Baptist Church.
