Eva Louise Hollifield, 78, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2007.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Gladys Pike Hollifield. She was retired from St. Joseph Hospital where she had worked as a nursing technician.
Survivors include a brother, Marvin Hollifield; a sister and brother-in-law, Robbie Hollifield and Robert Harvey; eleven nieces and nephews; twenty-five great nieces and nephews and eleven great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky Bowen officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. At other times the family will be at the home of her sister, Robbie Harvey.

I enjoyed working with Eva at St. Joseph’s Hospital for many years. She was a WONDERFUL persom. May God comfort the family in this time of sorrow.
