Fair P. Bridges

July 10, 1922 ~ July 16, 1999

Fair Parker Bridges, 77, of 26 Fair Drive, Candler, died Friday, July 16, 1999, at Pisgah Manor Nursing Center.

Mrs. Bridges was born in Jackson County and was a daughter of the late
Oscar and Ollie Mae Phillips Parker. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Lester Parker and Raymond Phillips. She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn J. Bridges; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann McCormick of Fredricksburg, VA; two sons, Bruce A. Dills and G. Ray Bridges of Asheville; a sister, Barbara Vincent of Lynchburg, KY; two brothers, Ted Parker of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Odell Parker of Marion, NC; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Jack W. Collins and G.H. Shope officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
