  1. We are all so very sad to say goodbye to this wonderful woman who was with us at CarePartners Adult Day for over two years. She was such an intelligent, spunky, fun-loving woman who always had good things to say to everyone, and we loved her. We will miss her fun-loving spirit, her amazing, colorful outfits (including perfectly matching hair clips) and her kindness to all. Flo – if you’re listening – we love and miss you! Happy Trails to you!

    • Hello Helen, Patricia, Emma, Albert, And Robert. I am Paula Warren. My mother, Eunice, was a daughter of JD and Amanda Adelia Rhodes. Consequently, she and and your father, Jeptha, were siblings. I remember Florence and your dad so so well from family reunions in Alabama. They were both so charming. The whole family was just so proud of Florence’s getting her law degree!

I am living in Raleigh with my daughter, Elizabeth, and her family. My husband, George, passed away in April; we were married for almost 60 years. (He had been exposed to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2022.)

From reading Florence’s obituary, obituary, it sounds as though some of you may be living in the Asheville area. If that is the case, we could visit you at some point; what fun that would be! (McCoy, Elizabeth’s older son, started his freshman year at Appalachian State in Boone this year. The younger son, Brock, started middle school this fall.)

We would like to make a trip to Alabama in the spring. Would you all know of any family living in the Anniston area? Of course, we’d like to get together with them. I sure miss those family reunions – not to mention Aunt Cora’s iced tea and fried okra, and Aunt Emma’s chocolate pies!

I remember Florence as being so full of life. I know she was a wonderful mother!

Hope to hear from you all. Hope everyone is doing well. My email address is: paulafrenchlover@hotmail.com.
