Flossie Radcliff Parham

Flossie Radcliff Parham, 92, of 22 Hawkins Drive, Leicester, died Friday, September 17, 2004, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Hillary and Kitty Martin Radcliff. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Odas H. Parham who died in 1979; three brothers, Rev. Carlos O. Radcliff, Sr., Frank Radcliff and Walter Radcliff; two sisters, Marie Gamble and Ossie Hamlen. She was a homemaker for most of her life and was a former employee of American Enka and Sky City. She was a member of Mountain View Free Will Baptist Church and the Women’s Bible Class. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Sprinkles and her husband Kermit and Peggy Vaughn and her husband Guy all of Leicester; two sisters, Argylle Baldwin of Asheville and Dicie Revis of Rutherfordton; four grandchildren, Sheila Hyer, Penny Barnwell, Brandolin Sprinkles and Crystal Sprinkles; two great-granddaughters, Caycee Hyer and Amber Hyer. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Jennis Sluder, Anthony Fox and Michael Funderburk officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of Linda Sprinkles, 2 Tipton Hill Road, Leicester.
