Mr. Goff was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late Charlie and Nora Kitchen Goff. He was married to Gladys Lucille Biddix Goff who died in 1996. He was an Army veteran of WW II and was a retired self-employed television repairman.
He was a member of the Biltmore Lodge #446, AF & AM, a member of the Scottish Rite and past president of the Biltmore Lions Club. He was also a member of the Biltmore United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter Janet and by a special friend, Cheryl, who was like a second daughter.
Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Monday at Gashes Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Preston Thomas officiating. Masonic rites will be provided by the Biltmore Masonic Lodge. The lodge will open at 2 pm.
Mr. Goff’s family will greet friends at the graveside service.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
