Floyd Edward King, 71, of Leicester, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 8, 2011.
Born on October 20, 1939 in Leicester, he was a son of the late Millard Edward and Mary Gregg King.
Floyd retired from Bonitz after more than 40 years of hard work. He was an avid bow hunter, and loved spending his free time hunting.
Floyd was a proud husband of 48 years to Anita King. He was also a proud father to four daughters and their spouses, Debbie Lane and husband Chris, Tonya Roberts and husband Patrick, and Christina King, all of Leicester, and Teresa Burrell and husband Marion, of Louisburg, NC. He is also survived by his brothers, Clyde and Lloyd King, both of Leicester, and by 13 grandchildren.
A funeral service for Floyd will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at South Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.

Anita so sorry,,,I remember Floyd one of the good guys from our younger days,,just part of the group,Him,Meadow,Gillespie,Davis, and Rex Smith,,all of us was a fun loving group,,so sad to loose the good ones,,have not seen him in years but we always recall our younger days and the people who made us smile,,,Cherish his memories they are forever,,My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family..
