Floyd M. Garland, 75, of 9 Fairway Drive, Arden, died Wednesday, January 27,
1999, in the Hospice Solace Center.
Mr. Garland was born in Erwin, TN, and was a son of the late Bascombe and Blanche Mann Garland. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vinnie Cauble and Imagene Brooks. He was an Army veteran of WW II and was a retired meteorologist. He was a member and former trustee of Sardis United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Hominy Lodge #491, A.F. & A.M.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Case Garland; a sister, Edna Nash of Atlanta, GA, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Enoch Ball, Jr., officiating.
His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at Groce Funeral Home.
