Frances Sluder Wilson, 100, of 160 Dorchester Ave., Asheville, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at The Oaks at Sweeten Creek.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late James Arthur and Addie B. Smith Sluder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy F. Wilson; son, Roland Wilson; and daughter, Frances Barber.
Mrs. Wilson had retired from Bon-Marché and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 84 years.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her sister-in-law, Carol Sluder; nieces, Linda Sluder, and Elizabeth “Kit” Sluder, and nephews, Henry Sluder, and Mark Sluder.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Buddy Corbin officiating.

We were sorry to hear of Frances’ death. She was certainly an excellent Christian example to all of us in so many ways and her life was an inspiration to many. Our sympathy to her family and her many friends.
