Frank Eugene Parris, 70, of 174 Twin Lakes Drive, Candler, died Saturday, September 1, 2001.

Mr. Parris was born in Buncombe County and was a son of the late John Eugene and Nora Tweed Parris. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Taylor in 1998. He served in the US Army Occupation Forces in Germany following WW II.

He was a co-owner of Atwood Printing Company and was a member of New Morgan Hill Baptist Church and the Baptist Mens Club.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Murray Parris; one daughter, Ceceale McKinney of Asheville; a son, Al Masters of Arden; three sisters, Nancy P. Roberts of Weaverville and Louise Carland and Martha Bradley of Asheville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Tuesday at New Morgan Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Houston officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue where Mr. Parris will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.

    We are so sorry about your loss of Frank. He was a very special person. I remember how he helped me hang sheetrock in my basement as well as many other things when we lived beside you and Frank.

    We will always remember how much he loved to work in the yard. The beautiful flowers and plants were a tribute to his love for them.
