Mrs. Williams was born in Azalea, was a daughter of the late William and Mattie Causey Harper, and was married for 61 years to George G. Williams, who died in 1998. She and Mr. Williams were former owners of the Montford Avenue Grocery Store.
She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Judson Training Union, the Welborn Sunday School Class, and the Sarah Wilson Group of the WMU, of which she was a former president.
Surviving are a son, Jerry Williams and his wife Margo of Madison, Alabama; two grandchildren, Stephen Williams and Jennifer Ebbert, and three great-grandchildren, Kate and Scott Williams and Will Ebbert, all of Birmingham, AL.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Buddy Corbin officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
