Gail Elaine Elkin Lineback

Gail Elaine Elkin Lineback, 82, of Asheville, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at The Landings at Mills River. A native of Asheville, Gail was a daughter of the late John Wesley and Imogene Elkin. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Wesley Elkin, Jr. Mrs. Lineback worked for Northwestern Bank as a loan officer and was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Lineback; daughter, Keri Elaine Odum (Thomas); son, Tommy Gassaway; and grandchildren, Daniel Young and wife, Angie, Ashley Young, Alex Odum, Avery Odum, Brenda Davis and her son, Tanner, Bobby Lineback and wife, Cindy, and their children, Christopher and Spencer, and Linda Pistole and husband, David, and their children, Carla and Sharon. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018, in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. Her family will receive friends for a half hour prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Flowers are appreciated, or memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N.
