Garylee Sales Goldsmith, 92, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022.

Garylee was born in Buncombe Co. to the late Gary Melvin, Sr., and Hester Etta Earwood Sales. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Emmett Kenneth Goldsmith; sisters, Irene Johnson, Evelyn Keever, and Mildred Wright; and brother, Gary Sales Jr.

Garylee enjoyed her time as a member of the Ladies Golden Rule Group at Biltmore Church.

She is survived by her son, Stanley Goldsmith (Peggy), of Charlotte; daughter, Donna Frady (Don), of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Stanley Frady (Stephanie), Christina Frady, Scott Goldsmith (Rachel), and David Goldsmith; great-grandchildren, Hannah Frady, Chloe Flora, Caroline Goldsmith, and William Frady; sister, Lovina Merrill; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Sky View Memorial Park. Pastor Kelvin Moseley will officiate. Family and friends are invited to attend the celebration of her life.

    I worked with her at Westinghouse Electric for almost 20 years. She was a dedicated and loyal associate. I will always remember stopping by her workstation and her telling me about Emmet and her family. She was proud of her family.
