Geneva Jenkins Shope,89, died Sunday, October 29, 2000,at the Summit in Asheville.
Mrs. Shope was a native of Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Luther and Hettie Ensley Jenkins. She was married to Carl Owen Shope who died in 1983. She formerly worked with the Customer Service Desk of Ivey’s Department Store.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Mrs. George)Schatzman of San Antonio, TX and two sisters,Mary Ownby and Bessie Taylor.
Entombment services will be conducted by the Biltmore Chapter #38, Order of Eastern Star, at 11:00 am Wednesday at Ashelawn Mausoleum.
Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
