Geneva Miller Stuman, 85, of 123 Holbrook Road, Candler, died Sunday, December 19, 1999, at Pisgah Manor Nursing Center.

Mrs. Stuman was born in Asheville and was a daughter of the late Tindle and Gertie Smith Miller, and was married to Charles W. Stuman, who died in 1989.

She was an active member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, served as Financial Secretary and served on the Administrative COuncil, sang in the choir, and was former president of the United Methodist Women.

She was former president of the Sand Hill PTA, member of the school board, volunteer at ABCCM, and a member of the Home Extension Club.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Gary Moore of Candler and Gloria and Ronald Woodbery of Naples, FL; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; her twin sister Janette Davis, and two other sisters, Inez Davis and Barbara Gosnell and her husband Larry; and a brother, Bill Miller and his wife Justine.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday at Oak Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Norman Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be great-grandsons and nephews.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue, where Mrs. Stuman will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
