Georgia Elizabeth Todd went to her final resting place on April 30, 2010, at Fleshers Nursing Home.
She was born in Greenville, SC and was preceded in death by her parents, William (Will) McTindal and Nancy Marchbanks McTindal; sons, Doyce A. Todd, Jr., Ray Todd and Larry O�Neil Todd. Also preceding her in death were six brothers and sisters, Ruth Ervin, Ernest McTindal, Jeanie Mae Turner, Charles Gentry (Buddy) McTindal, Patricia Mitchell and Daisy Hall.
Mrs. Todd was a member of Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church and a former registered nurse at St. Joseph�s Hospital.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Linda Todd of Fletcher; five grandchildren, Mike Todd and his wife Monica, Lynn Franks and her husband Kenneth, Lisa Todd, Tim Todd and his wife Kim and Tammy Helms and her husband Rick; 12 great grandchildren, Elisha, Mitzie and Mandy, Kim and Andre, Kellie and Andrew, Bella and Gracie and Peyton, Alec and Amber; and 9 great-great grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob, Zek, Abbie, Avery, Brittany, Hannah, Jayden and Zane. Also surviving is a special nephew, Henry Mitchell and his wife Gail.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff and nurses who cared for Georgia, especially to Dr. Culver who took great care of her.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, May 2, 2010 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, conducted by the Revs. Steve Harris and Lester Crayton. Interment will follow in Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times will be at Linda Todd's home, 19 Legacy Mountain Trail in Fletcher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fleshers Fairview Healthcare Center.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Knowing that God will help you accept His will hopefully give all of you piece of mind that Aunt Georgia is in a better place.
I WAS SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS NEWS. I HAVE VERY FOND MEMORIES OF AUNT GEORGIA. WE (GRANDMOTHER TODD) AND ME WOULD VISIT HER AND UNCLE DOYCE.
SHE FOUGHT THE BATTLE WELL. GOD REST HER SOUL. SHE IS NOW IN A BETTER PLACE.

I have cared for Georgia over the past year at Flesher’s and from the bottom of my heart I will miss Georgia and always remember her. She always made my working day better. She was a wonderful person and brought so much joy into my life while caring for her. I Love You Georgia and May You Finally Rest In Peace My Dear. God Bless You and Your Family.
