GERALDINE B. CURVEY Geraldine "Geri" Bell Curvey passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 2, 2008, at her home. Mrs. Curvey was born October 29, 1943, in Wilmington. She was the daughter of the late Burton Leroy and Eloise Parker Bell and was the daughter-in-law of Laverne "Beanie" Unger of Asheville. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, John Curvey, Sr., brother, Fredrick W. Bell, Sr. and wife, Patricia, of Durham, and son John Curvey, Jr., and wife, Christine, of Asheville. She was the proud "Nanny" to her granddaughters, Kristin and Cassidy, and beloved aunt to Fredrick W. Bell, Jr. of Durham and great-aunt to Justin, Jeremy, and Kandy, all of Durham. She was a cherished friend and joy to all who knew her from Asheville, NC to Bradenton, FL. She also leaves behind her precious dog, Tamber. Donations maybe made in Mrs. Curvey's name to the Humane Society, 72 Lee's Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28806 A private family gathering was held Friday, October 3, 2008.

  3. Geri was my mother-in-law, grandmother to my children, mother to my husband, and dear wife to John Sr. Most of all she was a wonderful friend! She always made me laugh with all of her ‘Geri isms’! She will surely be missed by me and my family!

    What a surprise!! This really upset me to hear about Geri. Just wanted to let you know that we didn’t see you guys alot, but when we did it was such a joy to talk to you both. If there is anything we can do just let Rick and I know. Our prays will be with you all!!

    I truly am devistated. Geri was a second mother to me for 9 years and I loved her so very much.     Oh, what a heart ache. We will certainly miss Geri’s beautiful smile and loving nature. We are pleased to hear you will be joining us at your Encore family for the winter. It just will not be the same park without our gal.
