Geter W. Kuykendall, of 52 Will Smith Lane, Leicester, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at his residence.

A native of Buncombe County he was a son of the late Emmett and Effie Burnett Kuykendall. He was a former employee of American Enka and BASF retiring with a total of 45 years service. He was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church where he was a deacon and former Sunday School Superintendent.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Smith Kuykendall; a brother Lester Kuykendall of Asheville; a sister-in-law, Mary Wylene Smith of the home and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 6:00 pm Thursday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend's Gordon Ball, Ray Hipps and Charles Rogers officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

Men of Turkey Creek Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Friday at Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
