Gladys Christine Jones Riddle

Gladys Christine Jones Riddle, 91, of Asheville, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023.

A native of Buncombe Co., Gladys was a daughter of the late Jesse Sherman Jones and Gussie Viola Wells Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy William Riddle.

Mrs. Riddle worked for Kearfott, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Asheville.

Surviving are her daughters, Sharon Riddle and Janice Husebo (Janney); grandson, Rodney Ward (Becky); great-grandsons, Jason and Jacob Ward; great-great-granddaughter, Isabella Ward; sisters, Linda Hoglen (Rex) and Wanda Ward; and her Boston Terrier, Casey.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Ralph Sexton and Rev. Allen Rash officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
