Resided in: Asheville, NC

Glenda Andrews Wolfe, 84, passed away on May 9, 2025, at the Laurels of Green Tree in Asheville. She was born in Inman, SC, the daughter of Edna Marie Bebber Andrews and Odell Andrews. Hardships and losses early in life strengthened her devotion and dedication to family. She maintained an unbreakable bond with her younger twin brothers, Jon (deceased) and Don Andrews, that lasted throughout her life. She eagerly embraced the role of mother and grandmother, making her children and grandchildren her primary focus and joy.

Glenda graduated from Sevier County High School in Tennessee and attended Asheville-Biltmore College (presently UNCA) at Seely’s Castle. She retired in 2008 after 20+ years serving as a Continuing Education Secretary for Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College where she developed many friendships. Once retired, Glenda was far from idle, helping to actively and lovingly care for her cherished grandchildren. Her faith and trust in the Lord provided strength and comfort during many challenging times. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

Glenda will be remembered for her great love and devotion to her family, loyal friendships, support for humanitarian causes and advocacy for animals as well as many other personal qualities and talents.

She is survived by her brother, Don Andrews; son, Drew Wolfe; daughter, Eve Bridger; son-in-law, Colin Bridger; grandchildren, Alana and Roan Bridger; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Jake.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 (service time to be determined) at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church in Asheville.

In lieu of flowers, it was Glenda’s wishes that donations be made to the following local animal organizations: Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue or Animal Haven of Asheville.
