Grace Jones Mathew, 93, of Jones Road died Thursday, December 17, 2009 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she was daughter of the late Ernest and Mollie Hare Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Mathew, who died in 2007 and by one daughter, Nancy Bailey who died in 2005. She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church. She is survived by one sister, Doris Hudson, of Fletcher; one brother, Earl Jones, of Fletcher; one grandson, Keith Wilcocks and his wife, Lisa, of Fletcher and extended family. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard with the Reverend Victor Mansfield officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Episcopal Church, PO Box 187, Fletcher, NC 28732 or to Four Seasons Compassion For Life, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
