Grace Lance Hayes, 78, of 68 Driftwood Lane, Arden, died Thursday, September 2, 2004, at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Millard and Sadie Irene Lance. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Julius A. Hayes, who died in 2000.
Survivors include a sister, Jessie Heath of Brevard; two brothers, Nolan Lance of Prosperity, SC and Ralph Lance of Asheville.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Robert E. Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
